In 1969, Ampeg and Guitar-Guru Dan Armstrong set about to revolutionize the electric guitar. What came next was Armstrong's Plexi-Guitar. It's "clearly" innovative and technically advanced.
Also in '69, The Rolling Stones took the stage with Keith Richards & Bill Wyman playing an Armstrong "see-through" guitar and companion bass. At that moment, the Ampeg / Dan Armstrong legend was born.
This Dan Armstrong ('69 re-issue) Plexi-Guitar features a clear acrylic polymer body with interchangeable pickups. The pick-ups include a single-blade Rock Treble and a dual-blade Sustain Treble.
In addition to the "swap-ability" of the pick-ups, they are supported tonally by an incredible rosewood bridge, brass saddles and a hard maple neck. Grover nickel die-cast tuners along with the rosewood bridge makes for AMAZING intonation and a 3-way tone-circuit gives you OPTIONS.
This Ampeg '69 re-issue guitar is not your average guitar... it's better built that it's 1969 ancestor. It's updated craftsmanship & electronics makes this 2006 Dan Armstrong not just a superior guitar but... Truly Extraordinary.
